The eagerly awaited B-Boy Brainasaurus children’s story book has finally been published.
A limited run of 50 books are available – signed and numbered for £6 (plus £1.20 for stamps if they need to be posted – I can recycle packaging)
B-Boy’s Brainasaurus is the story of a teacher’s magic that goes wrong.
While trying to create ‘wow words‘ he accidentally produces dinosaurs.
These take up all the room in the class until B-Boy gets them back into a book on the table – leaving a little one that only eats words: The Saurus.
The story has themes of wordplay, being helpful, problem perils, and imaginary friendship.
For children around 3 to 8 years old or 42 to 50, depending on reading level and dinosaur appreciation.
It works on multiple levels.
As a simple picture book for toddlers – to a deeper use of synonyms, for an older child beginning to read themselves, discovering the creative use of words. There is also – designed into the background artwork – silly twisting of the English language that could appeal to/ appall parents.
the books are:
210mm x 210mm
Full colour throughout
300gsm Satin Cover
160gsm Satin Text pages
at the moment you can mail me:
shane@sane55.plus.com
to request a copy and I’ll sort it out from there.
I’m working on a set of 9 framed exhibition pieces to go with the story book artwork – they will also be adapted into T-Shirt designs.
By the beginning of June (2012) I hope to have designs and technical details sorted for these to be purchased on-line – with luck and without these dinosaurs nudging me off the computer all the time – I might succeed.
